Destructive & Non-Destructive editing.

For this article we’ll be going over what are the various differences between destructive and Non-Destructive editing in Photoshop. So with that said lets first break down the difference between them now for Destructive editing it alters the original image and you can remove or alter the edits later, Non-destructive editing does not alter this the original image data or degrade the images.

As for Non-destructive editing or Aka as it stand for “NDE” sometimes a form of method of editing in photoshop that lets you create or make changes to the image without going over the original image data. Now some people might say is photoshop destructive ? I really don’t see it that way cause when you make changes to a photograph its a part of a digital editing that is literally destructive honestly.Another thing about destructive editing is that as an editor what they do is that make changes to an image and save the changes over the original images. After the images saved it wont be ables to go back to the original file where it came from because the changes have been saved and becomes the new file and most likely can be done again.Another reason why there is a difference between vector and raster is mainly the graphics that they composed of are pixels for rasters, while as for vector graphics such as gif or jpeg its an array of pixels of various colors, which together form an image. which can be used as a raster based art. Now raster artwork is any digital art that is composed of horizontal and vertical row of pixels result, when the image enlarges in raster.

Also the quality can be diminished to as well as the typical raster file includes the following psd,jpeg,tif,gif,and others to as well vector, artwork is digital art that composed lines that are mathematical and curves. The best use for raster in images are for web graphics such as a buttons, charts and icons. But also note to self people say “is a PDF a raster or a vector?” well sources say that it is easy to tell whether or not a PDF file is a vector or a raster format by viewing it an adobe acrobats. Its important since they’s are two file types that converted into a vector a pdf files can be transformed data. meanwhile raster pdf file are traced since there is no data to be extracted.
